We're coffee people, and we love what we do. We import green coffee directly from Fair Trade cooperatives in 15 countries, roast it at our
shop on Congress Avenue, and drink far more of it than we should probably admit. We have long-term, personal relationships with our trading partners and we visit them every chance we get, sharing knowledge, ideas, and stories with people who, over the years, have truly come to be our friends.
Every pound of coffee that passes through our doors is a labor of love; we are obsessive about quality and passionate about the craft of roasting coffee. Every batch has its own unique story to tell; it’s our job to help that story develop, then step back and let the coffee speak for itself.
We hope that this website will be a fun, engaging, and enlightening window on the coffee world, and our place in it. You can check out our approach to the coffee trade and
learn a little more about how we operate, and while you’re at it you can
meet the team. The
Third Coast blog features news from origin, trip reports, and profiles of the communities we buy our coffee from, along with some historical tidbits and a little general miscellany. Of course, for the visual learners among us, we have
galleries of photos from our trips abroad and our antics at home.
So please make yourself at home here. We hope you find all you seek and more--and of course we always welcome your curiosity, your comments, and, if you're so inclined, your presence at the shop. Come share a cup with us and find out for yourself!
